Challenge: Responsibility/Aspirations/Intelligence

Yesterday I was chatting with a boy from Orissa. He was (rather he is) a very adamant boy with a poor communication skill. Here the purpose of talking about his skill is, ironically he want to fly abroad and he thinks he is the most eligible candidate for it. He thinks he can lead a so called flamboyant and luxurious life over there, there is nothing in India and talent here is underrate. I tried to convince him a lot saying "whatever knowledge you have now that the nation has given you and now it’s your turn to serve" "we are the part of our nation, so simply we can’t crush and turn our back to responsibilities" "fools like us serve other countries for money but they get their work done in lesser expenses" and many more (it was a chat of 1000 something lines) I was very upset as he screwed up my mood. But at night when I thought about it I slowly discovered that he may be right, and then I pulled myself saying "no! No! sagarika east or west India is the best.” I was so perplexed between his thoughts and mine!!! Then I wanted to become a bit practical. He was right but he should be wrong. To prove him and people like him right we ourselves are solely responsible. This is us who should come forward and take the responsibilities which we expect the politicians to do and we also think that we are not supposed to do so. If we say politicians are not responsible enough then we should point finger to ourselves only, because we have only voted those criminal, illiterate, selfish and money minded persons as our representatives (I am afraid some of us who are 18 may not have a voter id card, if we even apply for one then it’s for passport and other such stuff). But even more ironically it's not our fault even. If we do not know the candidates for the election well and even if we know them they may not deserve enough for our valuable votes. So????? What next!!!!!!!

If you think that the country needs good politicians because the present clad is corrupted than why don’t we join politics, it’s really a sad thing in country of population of over 10 million All one of educated thinks only to be a MBA, Entrepreneur etc so to fetch good living that’s being selfish then who will become politician.Everyone thinks "WHO WOULD STEP INTO THE MUD LIKE POLITICS"
"PHIR HAMARA DESH KAUN CHALAIGA"

(i) Should we let happen whatever is going on

(ii) Should we stand, cry, revolt and finally get our work done???

(iii) Should we not start the revolution from ourselves->our friends->our society->our town->our state->our country without bothering how much time it may take ,will be successful or not???

The way I look at it is let’s try and evaluate the country itself and then re-phrase the question to read: Is the person moving out of India, personally as an individual, losing anything other than being away from the family? He/ She is actually moving away from
I have one of my friends who is a Diploma in ITI , he was in Mumbai living a life out of the
Pigeon hole a mere living , He is in Oman now with a decent living he probably sends back money home that a degree holder may ever dream to . He is getting married
And is planning to settle down there, now Is the individual wrong in seeking his better life?
In this situation you cannot doubt his contribution & integrity and passion for his motherland.
PEOPLE are running away from this state of living to, hopefully, a better state of living! and i think its a basic right of a individual of he/she wishes to stay happy.

Remember here we are discussing about a mindset of an individual why should I think about the country I m not going to change all this? Rather be selfish think about my future live happily ever.

According to the estimates 30% of the doctors’ nurses and teachers in the US UK are from INDIA that means studied in INDIA and working there, knowing that there are thousands sick and poor people in INDIA who can’t either fund there medical care which the basic right of human being.
Indeed they who studied medicine in INDIA know this closely. Couldn’t have they together would have made a difference to the society. But thinking of the career they come across their self
Obviously serving the white people will fetch lot of money everyone wants a good living financial security etc. it’s actually personal choice that an individual has to make.

There are 2 faces of this brain drain thing, I feel it’s the individual to rethink the decision he needs to take to serve his country or leave his country on pursuing his career his dreams his aspirations.

Talking of the IIT Grads who leave India serve the other R&D centers abroad, it’s a complex issue kind if a IIT grad wants to do research work in INDIA may be he will not get the facilities that he requires which is promised by the wealthy company R&D centre. There a person comes to a difficult situation, he wants to serve the country but he cant but may be he can gift something to the world or science at least he gets to work on his dream.

In the long run this emigration is sure to reflect on the Indian national scene in many ways. India may not have to face a shortage of technical manpower because she produces a large contingent of professional people (third largest in the world) every year. But the crux of the problem is the deterioration of the quality of its manpower. Once the best lot of the Indians have vacated the country, those gaining admission to the professional courses will be of the second or third rate quality. This is sure to reflect on the general efficiency of technical manpower in any country. How to prevent this loss?

You cannot bind a individual deny his VISA and arrest in his own country just as he was trying to enhance his own career it is because we don’t have the resources to support his talent and brain.

Because of this we have the best going abroad to study, and later on they decide to settle their, because they have got adjusted to the high standard of living. The government should open the economy more, so you have better job opportunities, and more employment options, and hence people decide to stay back at home.Lately all the brain drain occurs, when Indians go abroad to study and then they decide to settle down. Unlike in the olden times when it was more about looking for job opportunities, and opportunities to earn more money.Expand and improve your higher educational institutions.
Remove reservations everywhere, universities, and workplaces.Create a more equitable society and provide equal opportunities for all. So that no one feels left out, which is the main reason they go abroad, to escape all the suppression and lack of equal opportunities, like abroad.

Should we stop gene drain by mandatory means? Preferably not at least in a country like India where corruption, bureaucracy and jealously, prevail every-where. Let not our able and intelligent scientists and doctors rot under the prevailing bureaucratic set up and callous interference from political and bureaucratic quarters. The best remedy to nullify the genetic ill effect of brain drain and monogamy is to chalk out a breeding method acceptable to the common man on moral, social and cultural grounds and in tune with these concepts. This, of course, will be a long range programme and involves a lot of obstacles at the conceptual and implementation level. But it is high time that we should earnestly attempt to launch a programme for the betterment of humanity at large, and that of the third world countries in particular.

Remember TAJMAHAL would also have been started with the first stone right??

A Poem in a Boring Lecture

Life is strange
Here everyone has a craze of being one of the best
Albeit everyone wanna rest and also expect success
Everyone is so busy Prim n perfect
Busy in the world with own intellect
Hey ! ! ! you,you and you Look outside your window
Can u feel the beauty of God???Have you seen a better blue in your cupboard????
Stand a while Stare a while Feel a while Enjoy a while
Discover the child within you, which is lost in your busy schedule
Can you not see the innocence in the Eyes of the child within you????
Have you ever even tried To wear funky t-shirts and baggy pants in trend
Why, why always Armani suits and Gucci bags and boots my friend???
Are you lost anywhere???Are you here anywhere
Ur mind's now lost in a mist Does the real child in you still exist???

THE STRANGE WORLD

It’s a strange world we live in. We can send a missile across the world with a pinpoint accuracy. Yet we have trouble walking across the street to meet a new neighbor. We spend more time watching television than we do connecting with our parents. We say we want to change the world but are not willing to change ourselves. Then the sun sets on our lives and we allow ourselves some time for a deep reflection, we catch a glimpse of the joys we could have experienced, the kindness we could have given and the people we could have been. But by then it’s too late.

By the time most of us wake up to living, it’s time to lie down
